  5. salt, pepper thyme to taste
  6. all-purpose flour
  7. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  8. parchment paper
Instructions
  1. Heat a cooking pan and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the onions. Saute for 10 minutes
  3. In a bowl, add the ground beef, 2 tablespoons of buttter, and egg. Do not mix yet.
  4. Once onions are done, add it to the ground beef and egg bowl. Mix well.
  5. *Form mixed beef into patties. Make a round ball then gently squeeze it with your hands gently
  6. Cut pieces of parchment into squares.
  7. Put formed patties in cut-out parchment paper to prevent sticking with the other patties.
  8. **Refrigerate until ready to be used
  9. Put flour in a shallow dish
  10. Rub flour all over the patty. Gently tap the patty to remove excess flour
  11. In a cooking pan, add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of oil.
  12. Once butter is melted and oil is heated, cook the patties in medium-high heat for 2 - 3 minutes per side
  13. Transfer to serving plate.
  14. Enjoy!
Notes
  1. I used ground pork since I didn't have ground beef. It still worked out well!
  2. *I measured the patties by weight (100g) instead of thickness.
  3. **If you place it in a freezer, let it thaw for a few minutes
